5 Must-Have iPhone 4/4s Accessories for Summer

Waterproof iPhone 4s Cases

It’s the new oxygen. The new water. The “must-have” item to have before we flat-line. It’s the wireless extremity which connects you to the rest of the world: the smartphone; the tablet; the connection – this is today’s world.

And yes! The statistics are true. In the last decade, cell phone subscriptions have jumped from 12.8-million cell phone subscriptions to over 6.4-billion cell phone subscriptions; and still climbing.

…People want information, and want information now…

And smartphones aren’t cheap either; yet, billions of cell phone users today continue to invest in their smartphones or tablets without investing in high-quality protection.

So with summer around the corner, Cellular Firm has decided to showcase the top smartphone and tablet summer accessories for everybody to consider.

Here we go!

Waterproof Cases
Life proof - waterproof - iphone 4s cases - under water in fish tank

Ahhh yes….The growing trend in the wireless accessory market today: smartphone and tablet waterproof cases.

With more businesses beginning to invest and integrate more tablets/smartphones into their business model, waterproof cases don’t have to do much to leave the digital shelves, if you catch my drift.

Scuba divers now can take high-quality photos under water, waiters/waitresses don’t have to worry about spilling anything onto expensive tablets, and you — the reader reading this right now — can simply lay under the sun in the pool and watch your favourite videos.

Bike Mounts

When you’re burning rubber — weaving in and out in downtown traffic — you’ll want to access to your phone without having to compromise control.

When you use a smartphone bike mount, you’ll be able to take calls, change music tracks, and use GPS with zero fuss.

Arm Straps
Lifeproof iphone 4s strap
Riddle me this: How much can a wood chuck wood if a wood chuck could chuck on a iPhone 4/4s arm strap? Smartphone arm straps provide adjustable straps for any sized arm, guaranteeing users both style and functionality with one punch.

Smartphone Arm Straps are widely popular with outdoorsman, athletes, and every day busy workers who simply want to be hands-free while taking calls.

Car Mounts/Holders

Stick your tablet or smartphone onto your windshield or dashboard as you drive. With smart-technology also being integrated with the Auto Industry, tablet/smartphone car mounts and holders give all of your handsets and tablets max functionality.

The Future’s Office Today: Griffin MultiDock for iPad, iPhone, iPod

griffin mdock-slide-30bay2 - 4

Hello tech hipster, hello business mogul.

Indeed, business is changing. The typical “old hat” unfamiliar with technology is on the ropes struggling to keep up with the latest and greatest tech trends – your hair is going grey and you’re only thirty-something-years-young! What do you do?

You’re not alone. Right now, you and I are living in the most exciting time ever in human history.

Technology is evolving faster than the average human’s ability to adapt. The big boy offices are shrinking, so to speak: computers and lap tops are shedding fat, looking more sleek, and even alien-like.

Customers want more information and “clear and concise” information now! More people want to purchase extra batteries or at least search for improved energy solutions to solve energy problems. Tablets and smartphones are now on pace to take over physical wallets and cash registers by 2015.

And as always, entrepreneurs want to save more money, while more people want to save more of the environment, and, and, and, and…Cellular Firm gets it.

And so does tech accessory giant Griffin Technology.

They too understand that by 2015, tablets are expected to sell at least 481-million units: tablets are now a multi-billion dollar industry. Indeed, the future’s economic foundation will be made up of smartphones and tablets.

More restaurants, medical practices, law firms and schools all aim to move towards “paperless offices” and “digital waiters/waitresses.”

Thank you technology, thank you Steve Jobs.

Yet today many businesses and government offices continue to use inefficient tablet storage systems.

Griffin Technology, one of the world’s leading cell phone accessory name brands in the tech industry today, initially established in 1992, specializes in Apple products. Recently, Griffin Technology released a brand new innovative solution to the growing multi-tablet storage problem: The Griffin MultiDock.

The specs?

Multi-Charges Batteries
You’ll be able to charge up to 10 iPads all in one shot; all shown through a shining green LED light for activation. So, if you are a restaurant owner and one of your waitresses runs low on tablet battery, they simply can make their way to the back and grab a ready-to-go tablet waiting in your new secure and safe multidock.

The Griffin multidock also is compatible with the first iPad, iPad 2 and new iPad 3 – Griffin has covered every Apple angle possible.

Adaptability
If you’re business is booming and you decided to expand, your Griffin multidock has the option to grow with you. This means that you have the ability to connect other griffin multidocks together and have the option to charge 30 tablets or more — all of it can connect through a hosting computer: you now have your own tablet lab.

But it gets better, you’ll have the ability to charge your iPhone or iPod touch as well; the Griffin Multidock accommodates all Apple product generations; whilst also serving dimension compatibility with iPad case and iPad skin variations.

Its dimensions are as follow:

Input: 110-220 V AC
Output: Each 10 watts (5 V DC @ 2.1 amps)
Circuit Protection: Internal, self-resetting

Charge Bay Dimensions:
.866″ (2.19 cm) H
8.07″ (20.49 cm) W
8.96″ (22.79 cm) D

MultiDock Dimensions:

RIM’s PlayBook Is Still Kicking In Canada

After selling a million in almost a year, they say that BlackBerry PlayBook is still a certified flop. Do we blame it on the delays of updating their 2.0 OS? Or the competition with 7-inch tablets like the Kindle Fire which are available for only $199.

RIM shipped its first 500,000 units during its first quarter, which is really promising but the numbers seem to descend from there. Shipping only under 150,000 units in its most recent quarter.

But hope still dwells in North America particularly in Canada. In order to boost PlayBook’s marketshare there, RIM came up with “limited time” discounts to the PlayBook. Selling the $500 tablets for as low as $199. That’s a babbling 60% off. This has managed boost the device’s marketshare with the Canadians.

A recent research is conducted by Solutions Research Group that is based in Toronto as part of its Digital Life Canada Quarterly report, stating that the PlayBook’s marketshare has jumped from 5% last year to 15% now. However, this improvement has come at a very high cost. The discounts have costed RIM more than 500 million dollars already. And the worst part is, after having the sale last for months, it is going to be impossible to sell it to consumers on its regular price again.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Exhibition for MWC 2012

Yea that’s right!

A larger stylus-capable device is on the horizon; ready, waiting in the wings for it’s Samsung debut at the MWC.

Today, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is listed as one of the latest technologies that can be experienced on event day alongside its predecessor Galaxy Note (original 5.3 inch stylus-enabled Android tablet).

Particularly, developer sessions will focus on the Software Development Kits (SDK) for S Pen, Samsung’s own-branded Wacom inductive stylus, and the Bada 2.0 OS, suggesting that the demo devices would have to be fitting with at least one of those pieces of software. All of which points to the company’s introduction of a larger stylus-capable device at the MWC.

But there’s more, there are rumors about a deleted Samsung blog post looking for a teenage student to feature in a commercial.

Is this device real?  Is it going to be a 10.1 inch phone and tablet?
